Yes it is. And it is probably not surprising that the most powerful nation on earth plays a prominent role in the final events that occur on this planet.
However, it’s portrayal in the Bible is quite startling. It is depicted in the prophetic symbols of the book of Revelation as beginning as a gentle, God-fearing country, but then changing into a powerful nation that forces the consciences of people around the world.
Revelation 13:11,12 “And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.”
